As a cultural anthropologist, I constantly make observations and draw inferences about larger contemporary social, technological, and economic realities. Indicia means small markings and hidden signs, and the ideas in Small Signs and Omens are intended to expand upon and complement the offerings of Indicia Consulting.
What will our society look like in the very near future?
Anthropologists spend a lot of time thinking and theorizing about the nature of culture change. Because of this, I feel emboldened to share with you my predictions, generally one per day, and then follow up with some of the theories and data behind my ideas.
In this blog, I make (and stand by) predictions and recommendations based upon my personal observations and ongoing reading concerning our current state of society locally, nationally, even globally. There is a strong focus on the changes in consumer behavior that come with a restricting of resources.
These predictions come with dates, prices, and other specific information you can act upon (I've already had one come true!). Just so people know that I put my money where my mouth is, I use these same criteria for my own stock picking (on an extremely small scale) so that I can verify my calls over the longer term.
